Maitland Riverlink is a unique public project in the regional centre of Maitland and makes a new connection between the main commercial high street and the river as part of a revitalisation of the towns central business district. The building is a two storey steel and concrete framed structure with feature brickwork and highly detailed thin roof and wall edges.
The project is a huge success for the community and the new gateway concept acts as a gathering space, with opportunities for performances and commercial operations but also as an accessway to link to the river and grasslands previously hidden from the high street.
